A laptop is one of the most useful Diwali gifts you can give: to a student starting college, a parent who wants video calls with the grandchildren, a new employee, or yourself. It is also one of the easiest gifts to overspend on.
This guide picks certified refurbished laptops by budget and by who they are for. They are business-grade machines (Dell Latitude, HP EliteBook and ProBook, Lenovo ThinkPad) that cost far less than new and are built to last longer than most new budget laptops at the same price.

First, who is it for?
- Student (school or college): light, good battery, 8GB RAM, SSD. Budget ₹20,000–₹30,000.
- Parents or home use: big clear screen, easy to use, video calls, banking, YouTube. A small desktop with an existing TV or monitor is also a great option. Budget ₹17,000–₹25,000.
- Working professional or new job: Core i5/i7 or Ryzen Pro, 16GB if possible, a good keyboard. Budget ₹30,000–₹45,000.
- Designer, coder or power user: 16GB RAM and a recent processor. Budget ₹40,000 and up.

Gifting tips
- Order early. Delivery is free across India, but times vary by pin code, so order well before Diwali if it has to arrive in time.
- GST invoice: every order comes with one. Useful if the laptop is a business gift or for an employee.
- Cash on delivery is available with a 10% advance, if the person receiving it prefers to pay at the door.
- Warranty and returns: 6 months on laptops, 12 months on desktops, and a 14-day return window.
- Ready to use: each laptop comes with a genuine Windows licence and is fully reset, so the person can sign in with their own account on the first day.
Common questions
Is a refurbished laptop a good gift?
Yes, if it is certified. A Reboot laptop has been through a 16-point check, had its data wiped, and comes Grade A, which means it looks close to new with at most very light marks. Will it be fast enough?
