Neither — it is open-box. The factory seal has been broken but the unit has never been used, repaired, or returned due to a defect. It is not refurbished (which implies repair). Open-box units are typically excess stock or display units that were unsealed but never operated. Every unit passes Reboot's 16-point inspection before shipping.
Does this support Windows 11?
Yes. The Intel Core i3-1215U (12th Gen) fully meets all Windows 11 hardware requirements — TPM 2.0, Secure Boot, DirectX 12, and UEFI firmware. The unit ships with DOS; a genuine Windows 11 Pro licence can be added at checkout or sourced separately.
Can it drive multiple monitors?
Yes — up to 3 monitors simultaneously. Connect via HDMI 1.4b (rear), DisplayPort 1.4a (rear), and USB-C 10Gbps (front, with a USB-C to HDMI/DP adapter). Ideal for trading, data analysis, or multi-tasking workstations.
Can I upgrade the RAM and storage later?
Yes. The unit has two SODIMM slots — currently populated with 1× 8GB. You can add another 8GB stick for 16GB total, or replace both for up to 64GB DDR4. Storage can be expanded by adding a 2.5" SATA SSD or HDD to the open internal bay (no tools needed).
What warranty do I get and how does it work?
You get a 12-month warranty from Reboot Estore, documented in writing and transferable if you resell the unit. If any hardware fault develops within 12 months, we repair or replace it — no questions asked. Walk in to our Surat service centre or ship the unit to us (return shipping covered for the first 3 months).
Is this good for Tally / accounting software?
Yes — this is one of our most popular configurations for Tally Prime users. The i3-1215U comfortably handles Tally, Excel, browser-based GST portal, and email simultaneously. The NVMe SSD means Tally company files load near-instantly. A GST invoice is included for your business's ITC claim.
How is my data protected if this was a previous business machine?
Every Reboot device undergoes a DoD 5220.22-M standard military-grade data wipe before re-imaging. This standard is used by government agencies and is considered the global benchmark for data sanitisation. The drive is then re-imaged with a fresh, Microsoft-licensed Windows installation.
Do you deliver outside Surat / Gujarat?
Yes — we deliver pan-India with free tracked shipping to all major cities and most tier-2/3 towns. Orders placed before 5 PM are dispatched the next business day and typically arrive within 3–5 business days. Cash-on-delivery is available with a ₹1,500 refundable security deposit.
